Calling all parish organists! Here is a wonderful opportunity from the Gloucester Cathedral Organ Academy and Jonathan Hope to sharpen your hymn playing skills and lead your congregations with confidence. Aimed at parish organists across the county and diocese, the morning session will feature a workshop on hymn accompaniment and leadership with Jonathan Hope. In the afternoon, participants will have the opportunity to put these skills into practice with a volunteer congregation, singing a selection of hymns and allowing organists to gain valuable experience in leading a large group from the organ console. Saturday 7 November 10.30am – 12noon: Masterclass for participants with Jonathan Hope 1.30pm – 3pm: Congregational hymn-singing workshop For organists wishing to participate in the master class, please email jonathan.hope@gloucestercathedral.org.uk. If you would like to come and sing hymns in the afternoon, just turn up
